Motorway A6 direction Bembibre
Once in Bembibre, direction Noceda del Bierzo.
Camino de Noceda, you go through the villages: Viñales and Arlanza
In Noceda, on entering the village, fisrt roundabout turn right in direction San Justo de Cabanillas, for approximately 3 kms.
(Do no confuse with Cabanillas de San Justo which is just the next villaje.)


Transport to Bembibre


It is easy to reach El Bierzo by means of:

- Plane.
Airports in León, Santiago de Compostela, Oviedo, Valladolid. From Leon Airport there is a coach and train link.

- Train. Renfe has day and night trains that can take you to Bembibre (day train) and Ponferrada (night train). There is a coach the covers the 15 kms between Ponferrada and Bembibre.

- Road. Bembibre is a well communicated town by means of motorway A6.

- Coach. Services covering national routes have a stop in Bembibre. From there local buses provide transport within the area.

- Bicycle. Several villages in el Bierzo belong to the Camino de Santiago, and are prepared to receive visitors arriving by bicycle or on foot. For instance, Ponferrada provides lodging for dozens of pilgrims, every day.


From Bembibre to San Justo de Cabanillas

Una vez en Bembibre, para acceder a San Justo de Cabanillas

- Bus. The coach that takes the route through the villages in the alto Bierzo, stops twice a day in San Justo de Cabanillas.

Though one can access the village by bus, in order to enjoy the beauties of the surrounding area, and its many touristic routes, it is worth to have a car available that will increase your freedom of choice. It is possible to rent a car in Ponferrada (in the train station), or in León.

Bembibre - Ponferrada: 15 kms
Bembibre - Astorga: 40 kms
Bembibre - León: 85 kms


It is easy to reach San Justo de Cabanillas due to its fine local road, and its quick access to Motorway A6. This makes for a nice sojourn in a picturesque and quiet village, likewise well communicated.
